Days Inn and Suites offer beautiful new oceanfront accommodations on Jekyll Island, Georgia. The newly opened, completely renovated hotel is located on the Atlantic with 2,500 feet of beach frontage and two oceanfront pools. A short distance from three 18-hole golf courses, the Jekyll Island Days Inn also boasts easy access to the Jekyll Island Tennis Center. It's also a quick walk from the local tide pools. Historic tours, marine excursions, and nature hikes are also available. When my husband's company had him attend a convention in Jekyll Island's Convention Center recently, my children and I joined him afterward for a week-long visit to this beautiful piece of southern history. The kids enjoyed our tour through the National Historic District, but they were overjoyed when we took them to the Summer Waves Water Park, just 1 mile from the hotel. The weather was perfect that week, so we also played a few rounds of mini golf together. We had an oceanfront suite that was big enough to accommodate the four of us, and it was absolutely beautiful. It had a kitchenette, which came in very handy, as there always seemed to be a hungry mouth to feed! We rented bikes one day and rode along the island's paved trails. We ran out of time all too quickly, and we're all anxious to go back soon.
