Just got back from an overnight trip
with my sister, nephew, daughter and
2-yr-old grandson.
Overall, we had a great time!
I was impressed with the attentive
lifeguards, and the variety of water
fun. Plenty of places for the 2-yr-old
to play, the slides were fun, too.
I found it to be clean - and even when
there was a kid who befouled the kiddie
pool, they were quick to get everyone
out and get it cleaned up.
A few things they could improve upon...
the water temp in the kiddie area was
chilly! My grandson had blue lips after
about ten minutes. The lazy river was
warm.
Also, it was hard to get a tube. There
was no place to go to get one. You had
to just kind of wait around til someone
abandoned theirs.
I think it would be more practical to
have more than one guard at the top of
the slides to coordinate things. The
line would get held up while the only
guard up there had to help get a tube
rider going down the slide.
But really, it was nice... a great way
to spend a cold, snowy weekend.
One more thing... I would *not*
recommend going to "Bench Warmers"
(attached to the hotel) to eat. We
stood by the (empty) desk in the
entryway for about five minutes before
someone looked over and said "Oh, go
ahead and sit down." (A simple "seat
yourself" sign would have been nice!)
Then it took FOREVER to get our food,
even though it wasn't crowded. I got a
chicken sandwich (dry, with wilted
lettuce), and we had to ask (after 15
mins) if the appetizer was coming.
(Nachos - which were gross, by the way.
Dried out meat of some sort, and
overbaked shredded cheddar on top. Yuck.)
We had to flag down the server (who was
just sitting over by the bar) to get
refills, and had to ask twice for the
baby's drink... not a great place to
eat at all, if you ask me.
BUT...Five of us ate for $40 (including
the free meal for the baby), so the
price wasn't bad, but the service was
really bad.

We love the Cove!!! It is conveniently located off of the interstate, too. We have gone for the past 5 years to celebrate our sons b-day. Just returned Sunday. Its a great place to go celebrate b-days because you can't really do anything outside! It's also just a great place to go when you are down in the "winter dumps!!!" Life guards are on top of things at all times and water park is maintained and clean!! Just go and have fun!!!!

Was a nice getaway close to home - kids age 12 and 14 busy enough - gotta know the time to hit the waterpark when people are at lunch and dinner - not so crowded. Room was not very clean to begin with candy wrappers all over from the last people - the 2nd day requested housekeeping at least 3 times - was 5 before they got there - took our trash and dirty towels - but left no clean towels at all! Had to get some from lobby at 8 pm - and then later at an unfortunate time noticed there was only 4 sheets of TP in the bathroom - had to make another trip down for more - and showering the next morning they left no soap or shampoo! Breakfast is a fiasco - 11.00 bucks for adults and kids under 12 eat free - but put your name in 2 hours before you want to eat. did complain enough got some credit back on our bill at check out - office staff helppful

I took my children to The Cove for their birthdays. Not only was this indoor park fun it was also very safe. After a few hours of observing I noticed
the lifeguards were very attentive and effective. For a safe and relaxing time with family they definitely get 2 thumbs up! Not to mention the customer service was outstanding.

Well, it's the poor man's waterpark. Got bored and kids got bored in about 3-4 hours...so there wasn't a real need to go back in the morning. Had my lug nut covers stolen off my suv too...kinda made the whole day really. One more bad thing...when checking in I had to wait 30 minutes b/c the line was so long and my check in lady decided to take a break the instant I came to the desk...yeah, that was great.

Water Park - Floor pools were dirty and had objects floating on the bottom, such as, wadded up Kleenex. Long lines for the slides; there was only one life guard playing traffic cop at the top of the slides hence the back-up of people and long lines. The hot tubs are grimy and foul. Water had a salty overtone to it. Overall, the pools are/were polluted and did not have that pool chlorine smell or taste to them. On the plus side, there are a variety of water activities for all ages and plenty of life guards on duty. If you must, I would spend no more then one day at this place, just be cautious. Hotel - Although the hotel is claiming to be renovated, it is very slumber worn and fraying at the edges. Items such as, cracked tiles, small bathrooms, low ceilings, worn carpet, thin & tattered towels, and little things like closet doors not closing. The staff at check-in are not friendly or helpful. One of the ladies was wearing a "do-rag" - hardly knew she worked there other then she barked "Next!" with out looking up at the exhausted travelers in a comatose from the long wait times at check-in. This is just the tip of the iceberg about the hotel. Email me if you want more details. Bottom line for the water park & hotel is that there are better ways for you to part with your hard earned money. I regret that I spent mine with Holiday Inn.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Select North at the Pyramids for a night in Indianopolis, IN. The hotel is very convenient (right off the interstate) and is very well kept. When you walk in, the lobby is absolutey beautiful! One reason we went there is for the famous Caribbean Cove Indoor Waterpark! This waterpark, which covers 50,000 sq. ft. has entrances on both the 1st and 3rd floors, making it very convenient for all floors. The holidome area with pool, hot tub, and snack bar is also nice. The food here is good--good variety with Noble Roman's Pizza and other restaurants. The downer about the restaurants in the hotel is that everything is SO expensive! Can you believe they charge you $2.50 for a bottle of water?! The arcade which is on the upper level of the waterpark is nice and has a full ticket redemption center! On the night we stayed there, it was SOLD OUT!!! And so we had to wait in line for the elevators for quite some time at times. Overall, the staff and the service is wonderful at this hotel and we will definitely return! I highly recommend Holiday Inn Select North at the Pyramids!

Beware, place not very clean. The only reason to go is the Carribean Cove and my child and her 2 friends got pink eye from it.

The stay there was not worth a night. The buffet food was bland and the rooms had no covers on the bed. I threw a slumber with two adjoined rooms and the police came to my room twice saying it was to much noise. IT WAS A PARTY THAT I PAID FOR. I should have been put in a room that wasn't next to people with no kids. I would never stay overnight again its not worth the money. The waterpark was great though
